Choosing wedding rings

What should you consider when choosing wedding rings?

Remember that wedding rings are a lifetime keepsake, so above all, they should be timeless and durable. Of course, you can order new rings for an anniversary or a renewal of your wedding vows.

Will matte wedding rings wear off? Will they scratch? How long will it take?

It's natural for matte wedding rings to wear off over time and become shinier, while polished rings will become slightly dull. This happens as a result of wear and tear and is not a cause for concern. In such cases, you can have your rings refreshed from time to time, meaning they should be polished or re-polished.

Why isn't white gold white?

Naturally, white gold has a slightly straw color. To make it appear whiter, it is coated with a thin layer of a precious metal – rhodium (a metal from the platinum group, more expensive than gold).

What is the most common width of wedding rings? What is a wedding ring lens and what benefits does it offer?

Wedding rings with a width of 4 or 5 mm are most commonly chosen, but we offer designs from 3 mm to 9 mm. It's common for women to choose a narrower wedding ring than men due to their smaller hands and the desire to wear the ring with the wedding band on one finger.
A wedding ring lens is a curved interior—the band is semicircular in the center. The lens significantly improves the comfort of wearing the ring by ensuring that less of the ring is in contact with the skin. It's also easier for people with fingers that swell easily to put on and take off.

Can I order two completely different wedding rings? Can we design my dream wedding rings?

It's possible to order two different wedding rings, even from two different jewelry shops. We also welcome custom wedding ring designs.

Can wedding rings be engraved? Can I engrave something other than the wedding date, for example?

We can engrave any text up to approximately 25 characters on most designs. We can also engrave simple symbols, such as a heart or an infinity symbol.

Can a design already made in yellow gold, for example, be ordered in white?

Of course, most designs allow for customization of the gold color. It's also possible to change the matte finish, polish the ring, add additional stones, or order a ring without stones. Before ordering, please contact us to discuss any changes.

When is the best time to measure your ring size?

Your finger size can change depending on temperature, time of day, or physical activity. We recommend measuring your finger several times, preferably at different times of day, to find an average size.

How long before the wedding should you order/purchase your wedding rings? What's the waiting time for your rings?

If you order rings from our Marko studio, the waiting time for your rings is 7 business days. When ordering wedding rings from external workshops, the waiting time is 3-4 weeks. In both cases, we recommend ordering your rings in advance to allow for any size adjustments before the wedding.
